Honoring Our Heritage

The Ponokamiita Initiative offers connection to traditional horse culture for Indigenous youth and families. Through the Ponokamiita Academy, participants learn horsemanship, language, and leadership while taking responsibility for their own horse. Our Traditional Horse Culture Camps at Sikapiyohkitoopi “White Rider” Healing Ranch in Two Medicine immerse participants in Elder teachings, hands-on horsemanship, and cultural ceremonies, fostering a deep connection to the Land and honoring Amskapi Pikuni Heritage.
