A Suicide Prevention Awareness Event Hosted by Two Powers Land Collective
Riding, Walking, and Standing Together
In September 2025, Two Powers Land Collective hosted Live to Ride — Tough Enough To Talk, a Suicide Prevention Awareness Trail Ride dedicated to breaking the stigma around mental health, honoring lives lost to suicide, and fostering healing in our community.
Riders took to the trail on horseback, while drivers and community members joined the procession through town, standing in solidarity and carrying a message of hope, resilience, and suicide prevention awareness.
“Our horses teach us lessons about care, resilience, and responsibility — lessons we carry into our own lives and communities.”

To support our participants and their horses and thanks to our partners, a special horse gear giveaway was offered, including:
Winter, rain, and cool-down blankets
Fly masks, saddle pads, boots
Halters, lead ropes, and grooming supplies
Education and Outreach
Live to Ride was more than a trail ride — it was a learning opportunity. Attendees received hands-on demonstrations and educational resources about horse care, mental wellness, and suicide prevention awareness.
Our horses served as teachers, showing the importance of care, responsibility, and resilience — lessons that mirror the work we do in supporting mental health and raising awareness about suicide prevention.

A Lifeline on Wheels: Fleet of Angels’ Horse Trailer Gift
This year, our Holding Hope SAR team received an extraordinary gift from Fleet of Angels and founder Elaine Nash: a fully equipped horse trailer with living quarters.
For years, our team traveled with heart and determination, but our vintage trailer often left us stranded or delayed on critical missions. This new trailer is more than a vehicle — it is a lifeline for our SAR horses and team, allowing us to respond faster, travel safely, and ensure our equine partners are cared for during search operations.
“This trailer gives us mobility, peace of mind, and the ability to carry out our missions safely and efficiently — for both our horses and our crew.”

Fleet of Angels also provided:
Emergency response equipment for horses in crisis
Horse gear for the Live to Ride event, including blankets, fly masks, saddle pads, boots, and first aid supplies
Horse-themed books to launch our Lending Library, supporting education for all ages
Special thanks to Red Bell Run for helping coordinate and distribute supplies. Together, these partnerships demonstrate how “teamwork works” in caring for horses and the humans who rely on them.
“Fleet of Angels and Red Bell Run remind us that teamwork truly works — together, we care for horses and the humans who love them.”
Remembering Wyatt
Every aspect of Live to Ride is rooted in the memory of Wyatt, whose love for horses inspired the creation of White Rider Healing Ranch.
From our mounted search and rescue work to our healing programs, Wyatt’s spirit guides us. This event reflects his legacy — honoring life, connection, and the lessons our horses teach us about courage, empathy, and resilience.
Looking Forward
Live to Ride was more than an event; it was a community of care, awareness, and action. Through trail rides, walking processions, gear giveaways, and educational demonstrations, we created safe spaces for conversations about suicide prevention.

We invite everyone to join us in future events, participate in our programs, and continue the mission of healing, awareness, and suicide prevention.
💛 Together, we ride, we heal, and we carry a message of hope.
