White Rider Healing Ranch

A new initiative inspired by the life and legacy of Wyatt Mad Plume, whose passing left a deep void. Wyatt’s love for horses was profound—they were not just animals, but trusted companions and a central part of his life. In his honor, White Rider Healing Ranch serves as a place of renewal and healing, blending equine-assisted services with Blackfeet cultural traditions to support youth and adults facing mental health challenges, trauma, and substance use.

Led by Amskapi Pikuni Ponokamiitatopii (Horse People), the ranch offers therapeutic riding, horsemanship, and equine-assisted therapy and learning. Rooted in cultural wisdom and certified expertise, these programs support holistic healing and personal growth, fostering physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being through connection to horses and traditional ways.

Our Services

At White Rider, we provide therapeutic equine-assisted services that honor Indigenous traditions, strengthen human-horse relationships, and support emotional, mental, physical, and personal well-being. Our programs combine horsemanship and cultural teachings to create healing spaces for individuals, youth groups, and teams. All services are facilitated by licensed and accredited professionals from the community, ensuring culturally responsive care.

Respect for the horse is central to everything we do. Horses are not tools—they are partners, teachers, and guides. By fostering trust, care, and understanding between humans and horses, we create opportunities for growth, connection, personal development, and healing.
